it's all far too much like work

Another thing I've noticed is that when Windows 10 does major updates, it automatically resets a lot of settings that somehow may end up altering your average frame-rates.

Or, when updating Nvidia drivers, sometimes it forces you to reset the graphics settings in order to get the new drivers to take; which can also affect the smoothness that one had grown accustomed to previously.
