To be honest, it's one of the only times recently I have tried to play like a golfer. Working out on some holes which club would leave me short of trouble, or can I go over bunkers and if I miss, which side is preferable. Same with the greens. I haven't attacked all the flags, just aimed for a side which if I miss timed, would leave me in least trouble.

So far on the 2 reachable Par 4s, I have played for the bunkers on the first one, splashed and birdied and aimed for right half of green on the 2nd and ended up in rough to right. Really is about managing your round, not just maxing power and pin attack.

3 rounds done, enjoyed the challenge...so far

I have never had any issues with Wells Hollows, the first version was released when pot bunkers were not invented in the game and this was one of the first with pot bunkers. I love the views and the look of the course and I think it was a good choise for the Open.

For a links course it is very penalising though, with lots of bunkers in the landing area and hard to reach the green if you lay up. So it can be frustrating, like the reply from Kevinf2003 indicates lol. But i have played it numerous times in MP match play some years ago, and it was ideal for that anything could happen on the back nine.

I post this to encourage the admins like Seasider, I think you do a great job. Remember there must be hundreds if not thousands of happy and satisfying rounds played for every unsatisfied comment you hear.
