I'm unable locate the settings auto update feature; any further directions? Thanks for the help.

steam/settings/downloads.
you could always go off the net then start game, you will get a steam prompt to start in offline mode
if it works you got the download. to be honest i think you automaticaly get the updates unless you pick not to
on the downloads page

Mark,
Will this update have any effect on PGLS? Does it mean we can still play public games when PP site goes down?
Well according to Andrew if the PP server does go offline we will still be able to play API tournies, but I'm sceptical about this considering it's the PP server that sends / requests data to / from PGLS.
Only time will tell I guess.

Finally found it. I think you're correct, looks like unless you place restrictions it downloads automatically. Thanks for your responses.

Even if there comes no JNPG2 it means we can play the game as it is and all the designermade courses solo forever as far as I understand. And also in tourneys like PGLS at least solo. How about multiplayer, as long as Steam servers are up? Great news however !

My question will be if the Steam servers close for the game will we be able to use our own servers like LSPN did with Links to run tournaments. It would cost money to do but with enough people paying a yearly fee it could be doable. The good news is the game will live now we just have to figure out how it will work and this update pretty much answers the question about PG2 which is now dead. Good news tho and we will take it.

There seems to be a lot of trust in what PG says???? Their record is not good. if they are spending time and money on updating for this problem they must think their server is going to crash more often?

of course you can believe who you want to. ive been on pg since the beginning and have read a lot of statements from them so i choose to wait until these things happen and then i will be the first to praise PG

I started Steam offline and the opened the game. There were no public tournaments showing, they were there when I started with Steam online.
