Amazed you were able to remember that post. How did you know where and when it was posted? Thanks for giving us the url but a tad too late.
Forum has a pretty robust search feature. My memory sucks for the most part, but when I take a 20 on one hole, it sticks for some reason.

I was wondering if others saw the issues with the greens as I did?
it just seemed like the ball would not hold a line'
I also did a search over at PP to look up any comments I could find on this course
and could not find a thing so I have no idea where this course came into play at
I will see what I may find here now.

contours around the pins were bad. seamed like pins were planted on ant hills with the added complexity of being on a severe slopes. four putting from 10 feet is not a fair test of golf. more a designer issue than pinsetter.

it's a pretty course, and could be very playable if the greens were smoothed.

Donald Ross greensites are very special, like upside down saucers in real life. They are set up that way for errand shots to run off, and they are quite well done in the game also. But of course a pin should not be placed on the edge of the greens, their purpose is that if you mishit the approach you should be penalised but not for a good shot close to the pin.
Shuffler and I was quite lucky to score a 6 on the hole, my partner said before his putt something like this will be in bunker if I dont hole it and it was.

you know this course I have tried to do some research on it and there is none out there I looked on the PP forums and nothing
looked here and nothing, hard to figure out where it came from which also tells me it went through no kind of beta testing.
the designer only threw this one course out there and I believe it is an unfinished course. I have tagged it in the API to not be used for tourneys in the future so I don't think it will. got to be some of the worst greens I have seen.

The greens are very similar to the Pinehurst courses, also made by Donald Ross. Don“t remember if Pinehurst was made for PG but if you have played it in an other golf game you will see they are the same type.
So I dont think the greensites are bad, only the pins should be placed in the middle of the greens.

I think the greens could have used some smoothing out, they
don't hold a line worth a crap. I threw the course out. with all the other finished courses we have
one gone is no big deal.
