Here's my results:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/38408071
From Speedtest: Ping 18ms; Download 84.80 Mbps; Upload 12.02Mbps
I've been contemplating replacing the whole computer anyhow, especially since the motherboard is a 10+ year old model (the computer isn't that old; evidently the motherboard was already a several-years-old model at the time I bought it). I wouldn't rule out relatively minor/inexpensive upgrades to this computer, but stuff like a better graphics adapter would be for when I buy the replacement computer. Something I'll want to figure out is how to make my quite sizable media storage drives into networked drives, probably a RAID setup or similar, rather than as internal drives (which would require a minitower).
As for the mouse problem, I'm not generally having a problem with hiccups, stutters, etc., in the behavior of the swing meter. I've seen it before and it may happen once in a while but not often enough to be a significant factor in driving my scores up. My question was about whether it's normal to have a bit of lag between clicking the mouse and having it register on the swing meter. I'm uncertain whether the amount of lag is consistent or if it varies, or if it's just my own reaction time varying, but as I said I'm not seeing stutters in the swing meter movement.
Moments ago I tried about 20 drives on the practice range and less than half ended up between the signs. Other times I've done better but I doubt I've ever been as high as 75%. I assume most Pro players on this site are a lot better than that. What I'm trying to establish here is how much to blame my computer setup vs. me just needing to practice more. (Aside: When I first played Links 386 some 25 years ago, I doubt it took me even a dozen rounds before I was usually scoring near or below par. By contrast, I'm nearing 20 rounds on PGLS and still not consistently achieving "bogey golf" or better.)

The benchmark categories show that your computer has not been powerful enough for gaming in years. You are right, you need a whole new rig.
If you're going to build a new (big money consideration) go with everything that is state-of-the art.
Z400 series motherboard - 10th generation Intel - RTX 3000 series nvidia video cards - 16 GB RAM (3200Mhz is the sweet spot)
I don't like AMD products. They held me back in so many ways a long time ago. After switching to Intel platforms and devices everything was much better in leaps and bounds.
HAVING said that. AMD may have really nice Processors and Video Cards these days. I will never know (subjectively) other than hearing from my golf community contacts.

Your benchmarks show "incomplete". You must have closed the benchmark.exe before it finished. The test takes about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how powerful a computer is.

Good to know before or after using the userbenchmark.exe file.

Anyone using this benchmark file should shoot for
gaming levels: Aircraft Carrier at minimum. Anything above Aircraft Carrier will be icing on the cake.
Example: Nuclear Sub and the best you can have is UFO.

Thought why not and considering my PC mobo and CPU are well old it's not too bad ...

just for snits and giggles, I thought I would run my benchmarks. knew I would be up there
and have no issues and very happy with my results.

Haha Dave, 3x UFO. Far out man.
Unsurprisingly as we have the same vidcards and chipset, we have about the same score for GPU/CPU performance. Refusing to overclock that card tho
But I'm hopelessly jealous of that fancy monitor

yes, this monitor makes it all look great.
never overclocked a video card before and it looks great as it is now, I did use a couple of adjustments I found in the link you posted. still kinda wary about the overclocking and how much life it may steel from it as when I bought this computer I spent a bunch
and can't afford to replace anything at this point. have you overclocked yours?
