Day 3 Update (9:30pm est):

80% of participants have finished Round 1; 70% have played Rounds 1 & 2; and 45% have played the first 3 rounds. Still on pace to finish the Group Stage Monday.

However...13 of the 64 participants still haven't played any rounds yet. You guys know who you are. I'll send PM's to these players on Sunday to nudge them along, or ask them to drop out.

The overall grid is starting to fill up with results. Congrats to Tbone for winning Group 8 with 3 wins. On to the round of 16!

Day 5 Update (11:00pm est) Monday:

The Group Stage has ended Monday with the posting of this update. Thank you all for getting your first three rounds in early.

On the left side of the grid, all eight groups were won by unanimous decisions of 3 total points. Five of the eight top seeds made it through to the round-of-16.


On the right side of the grid, five of eight groups were decided by unanimous decisions, and one by 2.5 points. Four of the top eight seeds made it through. Two groups, 10 and 11, were decided by tie-breaker.

Group 10 saw two late wins by Stozza put the group into a 3-way tie for first at 2.0 points apiece. The first group stage tie-breaker is total strokes for all three group stage rounds. Riddler and Stozza tied at 192 strokes, and JMK59 won the group with a low of 187 total strokes.
Group 11 saw late wins by both Haesy007 and Flop7Wood put the group into a 3-way tie for first at 2.0 points apiece. The first group stage tie-breaker is total strokes for all three group stage rounds. Flop7Wood won the group with a low of 192 total strokes.
Round-of-16 and QuarterFinals match play results will be presented Tuesday.

Group 7 is a little Mistake. I have 1.5 Points and on 3rd Place. Leeuw 68 has 1 Point and is on 2nd Place?

On those tables, the 1,2,3,4 are not ranking numbers. I believe John has used those numbers elsewhere in his workings. You'll notice all Divisions are set up the same and the points don't correspond with position.

Ragnar - you did come is second with 1.5 points.

The numbers on the edges are used as row counters in my spreadsheet. That way I can use equations to fully automate the process. I should have greyed them out. Fixed.
