heck i miss the mark all the time on 3c just look at some of my streams
i do it all the time keeps me from having to move my golfer to line them short putts up.lol
next that will be called cheating.
this post has gotten very boring, by the vote looks like the controller will be back in the tourneys
welcome back to all the controller players!!!
As do I, Dave. I always push/pull putts by missing the snap on purpose on short putts. I also use the push/pull to counter the wind or if I am on a dog-leg. This has never been considered a cheat in 3C (three click). Quite frankly, it's another finely honed skill for 3C users. This ability takes thousands of hours of 3C experience to become a so called expert at it. Experts still never shoot a perfect game regardless of their chosen swing type.
The leaderboard shows me at #6 in the more recent PGA 9. My goal is to reach the top 10 on the leaderboard BUT. I only strive for that goal when the mood strikes me. I know other players take much longer time calculating each shot, and that's smart if you want to get a shot at #1. Personally, slower pace is not my cup of tea. I like to look, shoot, hope for some good luck and be done with a shot within 10 seconds. The fun and excitement of watching the ball in-flight is the delight for me; how it bounces, rolls and crawls towards the hole. That's good drama for me.
The snip (Windows Snipping Tool - A great Windows 7 and 10 feature) of this leaderboard shows the top ten positions. Sometimes I am in the top 20 positions. It's not a brag fest. If I were #1 I would definitely toot my own horn. I am rarely in the top 1 to 5 positions. (Aim and fire and hope for the best) - that's my golf credo
FYI for those who have never used 3C. Push/Pull is deliberately clicking the third click early or late. Early means the ball is pulled towards the left and a late snap (push) means it will roll towards the right of the hole.
In long drives or long iron shorts, push/pull can be used to fade or draw the ball. However, in doing so, the player has to calculate a loss of power and elevation on the ball flight due to the inaccurate snap (bottom of meter). When the wind is really strong I will use the Shot Shaper gizmo in the game. That's the smart way for anyone with any swing method to impart spins or lower/raise the elevation of the ball trajectory.
Nothing is easy in this game
if a player does not practice*. We who practice can shoot a shot within seconds of looking at the lie and breeze/wind. We already know the stimp and fairway speeds because we make sure to check all the settings before starting a round.
There are so many strategies to virtual golf. Using a more powerful club than the shot calls for to make sure you don't have to go past the 12 on the meter. This particular strategy can be used in all swing methods. IMHO it's better to use more club than needed to get roll-out or counter backspin on the greens.
Learning three click takes a long time but it is (in my book) the least cumbersome and best method to play Virtual Golf
when sitting at a computer station about two or three feet from the monitor.
To finalize my last comment in this topic. Congrats again to the
Controller Users and welcome back to the game!
* this mostly applies to very competive players
