Have to agree with Andy. It's not called Snowflake 9.
Don't see anyone being called snowflake here...it was the tournament being referred to.
Back to the topic, don't really mind what the conditions are, always fun around Augusta or whatever it is called for legal reasons :)
Looking forward to it.

This is the one of the events that should be tough to play and still should be 13 or 14 every round. The fairways should be firm as they always are and greens Normal as soft never happens at Augusta even in rain and firm would be unplayable. IRL Augusta greens are firm mostly but this game can't handle that with high stumps at this course. Augusta is risk reward and very little running a ball to the green as you have to fly it there and holding greens is always tough. Wind is mostly calm there and they get an occasional breezy there and the course is brutal at breezy. To play Augusta with Gusty or Windy would be impossible. Play it that way and with the traditional winds and scores will be high and if someone shoots in the 50's they truly are a God as most will struggle to keep it at par. Very difficult course for me and not many rounds in the 60's there either.

I like faster greens, 12 stimp is optimal for this game as is in real life. 13 for major and links style, where 14 could be used if not too hilly. Below 10 is a joke and and requires no feel or skill, just blast it at the hole.
Firmness should be inverse proportion to speed, softer/faster for check and roll, harder/slower for bounce and check. Soft/slow becomes a dart fest, where fast/firm bounces half way across the green then rolling off the back. Fast/firm(links style) should never have soft fairways where you can't land it short of the green, and greens should be accessible from the front. Also under those conditions pins should be in the middle to back of the greens, and up front/tucked for soft.
That has been my biggest gripe with these tourney setups so far, speed seems to be linked with firmness.

Checking the weather for Augusta shows thunderstorms this morning and wind 12 to 25 mph. Friday partly cloudy and winds 10 to 20 mph. Saturday sunny, 73 and winds 5 to 10 mph. Sunday would have been a wash out if played this year and Monday also except later in the afternoon with both days having wind speeds of 10 to 20 mph. Was going to set conditions to match when we play, starting Friday 12 am but since Sunday and Monday weather being so close will start with conditions that are happening today. 3 rounds will have breezy conditions and Saturday calm. Will be only using normal for greens with stimps 12 and 13. Have fun!

I agree with others that say The Masters greens are usually fast. Its part of the course's defense. Make em fast!

To be kind to all I did not use 14 stimp during any round. We have a lot of players who would have a difficult time with stimp 14 which, in some cases and especially on this course. It is a learning curve many don't need nor desire. I did make the wind very breezy in three rounds but again strong breeze would have been too much for most. Trying to keep it challenging for some but mostly fun for all.

In my mind 13 and 14 stimp are both "fast." The Masters greens are some of the most undulated on tour and 13 is plenty fast and will be a real test. There should be a trophy for anyone who gets through all 4 rounds without a 3 putt!

Even at 12 and 13 with breezy it will be tough. Would have liked at least 14 but I am a sick person and enjoy the pain.
