Week 15 Wednesday 12/04/17 Mid Week Challenge Course Pinapple Lodge Night

Week 2 in our April Challenge. Our first night game went well, it was quite a unique experience playing under floodlight but by the look of the scores players adjusted to it very well there was two 21 pt scores and two 20 pt scores. Could I just remind players to check in advance that they have the course before meeting on the tee, 3 players were unable to start last night due to one player hosting who failed to get course. All info regardiong courses will be available on forum in advance

Week 16 Wednesday 19/4/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: Middleton Hall Back 9

Ideal conditions for tonights game and players took advantage of this by posting some high scores. At least 7 players came in with a score of 20 pts or over. The winner was Ergo76prop with 25pts but TexasAces came a close 2nd with 24

WeeK 17 Wednesday 26/4/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: Whitestone Park

Another well suported game on a final challenge of April. Four groups set out on the back nine of Whitestone Park. Weather was good with just a breeze to challenge the players. Kenny and Dan both started with 62 pts Gained during April and one of them would be crowned Player of the month at the end of the game. Dan, Ergo and Ken were all out in the first group Dan and Ergo both led the way on 22pts with Ken Unable to match their score on 19pts. In group two Texas came close on 20pts. Biffa also scored 20pts in group 3 but It was Jollybandido who stormed to a 23pt win out of group 4. Seasider looked equal to Jolly all the way 2 16th hole where he failed to score.

Week 18 Wednesday 8/5/17 Mid Week Challenge Course Golden Meadow
MWC went Retro this week by playing one of the origional courses Golden Meadows By Mike Jones. One of our highest entries of players served up a feast of high scores on this classic course. Out of the 13 entries no fewer than 9 scored 20pts and above.
First pair out fought all the way and both Texasaces and Kennetharry couldnt be seperated scoring 22pts each. They both set a high score to be beaton, but it was smashed when Ergo76prop returned a score of 26pts. In the final group Dan did everything he could to match the score but just came up short on 25pts and then very late on Biffa also returned a score of 25. A remarkable nights play that everyone was happy to have taken part in

Week 19 No Play due to a technical Fault

Week 20 Wednesday 17th May 2017 Mid Week Challenge Course: Latrobe Country Club

Soft and Slow greens did nothing to dampen down the asperations of the players who once again produced high scores and drama. First group out contained this months top scorer Ergo76prop and his score of 24pts put futher pressure on those chasing him. In our 2nd group Dan and Dunc battled it out for 21 points each whilst Ziggy surged ahaead to equall Egos opening score of 24 pts. Drama followed with Kenny looking like he could beat 24 but a tee shot to the rough on the 17th and one of the more difficult greens stopped in series of birdies which meant that he could only equal the score set by Ergo and Ziggy

Exciting climax to May with 10 players over the 9 holes scoring 20 pts or over. 16 players took part in the game the highest number since we commenced in Jan. Two players TheZiggy and Biffa to ist place on 23, following just 1 pt behind was a further 5 players
