Just played all 4 rounds this evening. I found the setup and conditions to be very fair.

I agree with Charlie, but there is some holes to watch out for hole 9 2nd shot hit the green about 7 ft away rolled off to 61 yards away cost me a bogie but other then that not to bad just got to play smart course management, alot of fun and challenging. :clapping:

Played 1st round and yes very fair but #9 was tricky as I hit my 2nd in bunker and plugged and hit 52W and though I hit perfect shot as it was dying near the hole and next thing I know I am 74 ft from pin off green. Hit great shot to save bogey but beware of that false front. I will say the Normal greens at Stimp of 12 not as intimidating as 13 or 14 with lets say hard or even normal and the conditions will lend to some low scoring IMO. Usually a hard course for me but with soft fairways and not going past 100% I hit them all and thats rare for me.

That's the key Rob, this course just demands respect and i will not be going past the 100% button very often this week unlike normally.

Very much enjoyed the conditions, sadly though I entered trees on round 2 hole 2 and had difficulties getting out which goes to show that the course can be harsh no matter what its set at, but will be back again to sample this magnificent course.

That's key Andy to take what it gives you and didn't go for any of the par 5's in two as that was a new strategy for me. As a matter of fact didn't even put the 3W in the bag this week as I didn't want to be tempted. The stump at 13 for next two rounds will make it much tougher.
