I don't remember receiving such a PM. When I started playing tournaments a month or so ago I requested a level change and was told that changing levels would have to be done under the tier movement system.

According to my profile I joined the site about two years ago, probably because I thought I had to to download courses, but until recently didn't play any tournaments (or play the game at all for most of that time). So maybe the issue was that technically I wasn't considered new even though for all practical purposes I was a new player.

Apologies, yes you could of only done this when you joined PGLS which you did back in January 2019.

Understood. Would it make more sense for that option to be available based on when someone is ready to start playing rather than when they join PGLS?

Also, I finally got my first eagle.

There is now way of us knowing when a player starts playing PG. We assume they do so straight away on joining PGLS so we give a player a few days to let us know about a level change.

The reason why we stated making it compulsary for all new joiniers to start as pro and then re adjust once they have played for a few weeks is because every month we were getting new players who were clearly playing above there amateur standard and winning competitions right from the start and it seemed that as soon as one group of players were promoted along came nrw members to take there place. This is very frustrating for genuine Amateur players who were not getting any opportunity to shine
