Week 44 1/11/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: Spyglass hill Back 9
November Week 1 and players were finding difficulty in judging the distance of the ball on this testing altitude course, playing off members tees meant cutting accross corners and players were finding there balls travelling further into the rough than expected. 20 players took part in the game and only 7 scored more than 20pts. We welcome Gottagrip to the competition for the first time scoring a usefull 21 pts. Marknibnoble came in 2nd place with 22 pts but after is week away from the challenge TheZiggy returned with a winning score of 23pts, He was later joined by Sikkum on same 23 pts to tie for 1st place.

Week 45 8/11/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: East Lakes GC
Week 2 of November and the season is drawing to a close, 14 players took to the East lake course hoping to bag the last place in this years final. The competition was close with the usual players all scoring well. Four players TheZiggy, TexasACES, Dunc and Ergo all scoring 22pts and Sikkum making a late entry scored 23 pts, But it was Bobfletch who pulled out all the stops to make Eagles on the two final holes who lead on the night with 25 pts

Three weeks left in this month competition and any one of 7 still has the opportunity of becoming the player of the month, The two front runners are Bobfletch and Sikkum both having scores 46pts so far, But no one can be complacent yet.

Week 46 15/11/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: Smithfields CC Back 9

13 players set off without hitch in tonights competition. Bobfletch and Terbal were first to complete the 9 holes both setting a target of 23 pts to beat. Chicas then came back with also 23 pts, followed by the new lead of 25 points by The Ziggy but it was Marknibnoble that finally set the winning score of 27 pts.

At the half way stage TheZiggy leads with 70pts, closely followed by Bobfletch on 69 Pts with Chicas and Kennetharry on 65 pts each

Week 47 22/11/17 Mid Week Challenge Course: Victoria National Golf Course

The penaltimate week in our November Mid week Challenge and end of Season 1. Scores were kept low a challenging course. Dunc, Ken, Biffa and Chicas set off in first group with Dunc just able to finish top, but from all reports he was unlucky on the last hole and could have scored over the 21 pts.
All month its been a battle for top spot between TheZiggy and Bobfletch, Ziggy came back in the second group with a very credible score of 23pts and we waited to see if once again Bob could out do Ziggys score, but alas it was not to happen this week, bob came in with 21 points and Ziggy was able to increase is lead on the month to 3 points. But that was not the end of the story because in the Final group Sikkum emerged with a winning score of 25pts

Next Week is the final week in November and we can reward the Player of the Month with a place in the Grand Final on Dec 11th. In the chasing pack are Dunc, Biffa and Chicas all on 84 with Kenny on 85 in third place but 5 shots ahead in 2nd place is Bobfletch on 90pts but 3 shots in front in 1st place is TheZiggy on 93pts, will it be one of the leading pair of will one from the chasing pack step up to take the title.

Dunc was a bit unlucky his ball hit the green and run off into the water on the 18th, however the game gave him an "as it lies " from the picture above , he proceeded to play it from there and put it within a foot to save par . It was a good game with the four of us level most of the way .

Week 48 29/11/17 Mid Week Challenge : Course Georgia Pines -Back 9

The concluding game of our first season took place on Georgia Pines, playing from members tees under very favourable conditions it was hope that good scrores would emerge and we were not dissappointed. 9 of the 14 players scored 20 pts or more Chicas, Bobfletch and Marknibnoble all scored 22 pts but it was Terbal who emerged from the group to win the final game with a score of 24 pts. At one stage Seasider47 looked like joining those on 22pts, With birds on 11,12 and 13 it looked like his night but a short approach to reach 18th green followed by 3 putts left him on 21 ponts alongside playing partner Kennetharry also on 21pts.

As already stated in another thread, If it's Tuesday 12th December then I won't be able to play and neither, I think, will Terry (Terbal). Mondays are perfect, however!!
