Doesn't seem to work on my win 10 pc?

Will need a bit more info than that to troubleshoot your issues.

It seems my courses are in Steam/apps/common/PG/courses would that be correct?

If you had installed Steam and PG into the default locations then the path would be ...

\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Courses

However if the PGLS utility isn't picking them up correctly, use "Override Detection" to browse to the "Courses" folder.

it won't run on my win 10 pc, says 'an unexpected error has occurred. Set up was not able detect any windows media updates, please try again later.
Win 10 doesn't have windows media so that is ludicrous?

Windows Media Player is available on Windows 10, however it has absolutely nothing to do with the PGLS Courses Checker utility.

Please take a screenshot of the error and add it here.

Updates version to 1.10 ...

1. Using "Override Detection" to change the path to the "Courses" folder now has this path saved to the registry so that the next time you open the PGLS utility it will go straight to the saved path and therefore the actual location of your courses folder.

Program says that the selected course folder is invalid? I have my courses saved on an external HDD and I only move them to the game folder when I need them. Any ideas?

You should point the PGLS PG Courses Checker utility at Perfect Golf's "Courses" folder.

This will check whatever courses you have in there so that when you start PG you will know if they are up to date.

However if the PG courses are in a folder called "Courses" on your external drive the utility will accept that.

renamed folder but didn't work. using v1.9 again and everything works fine. No biggie, thx anyway Mark :)
