PGLS Open Round 3

I think I have been 'nobbled' by my erratic temporary internet connection.

When I first started playing Round 3, I reached -6 after 14 holes - but every time I tried to resume the round, I was placed on the 1st tee!!

I had more than one false start - until today, when I finally managed to finish the round, scoring a disappointing 70, courtesy of a chip-in eagle on #18. Then I saw my score on the leaderboard - a 74!!??? WTF?? Then when I selected my score to look at the hole breakdown, I noticed that 'PS' box at the end... with a 4 in it. Can someone explain to me what that's for please??!!

Bob,

PS on the scorecard stands for Penalty Strokes, which come into play when the game is closed without the post-shot screen (which tells you the status of your ball on the course and shot data) being closed through, or when you disconnect from the internet during ball-flight.

If the false starts you speak of were where you closed the game during ball flight or with the post-shot screen showing, then that explains why they are there.

Bear in mind there is a larger amount of data flying backwards and forwards between you playing, and Perfect Parallel's servers and on to us. If you have a slow and somewhat unreliable internet, most likely some of that data is taking so long to arrive that it is not being recorded properly.

It sounds like we may struggle to provide a reliable game experience for you whilst you are in internet limbo, but we can certainly look at taking the penalty strokes off in this instance, but unless you have time to play through in your remaining rounds you will always face the the chances that data may be lost.

Thanks Mike, I suspected it might be something like that! I don't know if BT has taken some action with my local Wifi Hotspot, but I've just managed to play 18 holes in the PGA9 tourney without any interruption at all!! I'll soldier on and see what happens - thanks mate, and don't worry about the penalty strokes, I can live with those...

If you look at the PM you would of received after the round finished it should tell you the hole(s) they occurred on if it helps.
