Just like to say how much I have enjoyed playing in the Masters daily event, what a fantastic idea. I played each round before settling down to watch the main event on TV . It made me realise how difficult Augusta is (check out my scores LOL

.
Thank you Mark and Mike and all the people involved in in setting up this fantastic golf site.

Thanks very much Sam, your comments are much appreciated.
Credit where credit is due it was Mike who came up with the idea.

Absolutely agree. Great idea. By watching TV, found myself learning where best to miss for the best par putts, how best to avoid being blocked out by trees etc. Greatly enhanced both playing and watching. And as it happened, I finished on 9 under so in my dreams would have made it a three-way play-off (would have duffed a chip to the green on the second play-off hole, though, and handed it to Sergio).

I played it that way the first two rounds and loved it and only wish I could have played it that way for the weekend but no access on weekends for me. Would love to see all the Majors played like that as it was great fun but just wish my player would have showed up on the tee for round 3 as he seemed to be in quite a fog. LOL.

Unbelievable for sure! A 55 in round 3 with 15 birdies and an eagle with 20 putts at 14 stimp and tour pro to boot. Second best was a 66 in that round. A very good round indeed.

Hi to all,
PGLS would like to make the following statement with regards to fair play:
As Tournament providers, PGLS are keen to ensure that all players, regardless of swing type or level of play, compete on as much of a level playing field as possible.
Scoring in a recent event has raised the issue of whether we can take some scoring at face value. With this in mind, we have undertaken a review of how we use certain data we have at our disposal. Previous to this point we have relied on an honour system to ensure that players are playing within the spirit of sportsmanlike conduct.
Using data which we felt before did not need to be assessed upon, we will now be looking at the data produced on the swing physics and resulting shot. This will be occurring from this point onward and is the initial part of a focused effort to bring transparency and trust to scores which our members post.
Initially we will be assessing this data, and establishing what it tells us. Future travel will be towards making this data work to ensure the game is played in the manner it was intended, and in allowing all members to be sure of the veracity of such play.
More details of the work we are doing will be released over the next seven days, along with details of how this will affect tour operations and the play of our membership.
We thank you for your continued support during this period, and hope we can soon ensure that our site and tournaments provide a place to play that can be trusted and relied upon to showcase the legitimate talents of its members.
Mike
