Would players still take part in the Skillz (CTP) tourney if they were only allowed 1 shot per hole?

This would only happen occasionally and 2 shots would still be used as is the case currently.

It would depend on what the challenge course is for me. For the shorter easier courses that would be great idea but not for longer courses. You can tell what courses would be the worst by how many finish the tournament and scores that average in the low 7000's and lower.

Personally I wouldn't, I feel it's great short game practise and a challenge to always better your first shot.

We could give a try and see if it works.

Unfortunately the -250 for missing the green is built into the Perfect Golf API but I could remove them during and at the end of the round.

ive always thought the -250 was too much and if you missed a green then it was very differcult to catch the leaders.....just getting zero points only losing 400-500 to the leaders give you a better chance to catch up.....maybe just try it on the 1 shot round for now...once a month say...

I prefer the 2 shot set-up but agree that the -250 penalty for missing a green is quite punitive
