Making a suggestion for those who are building/buying a new computer. If you are an Intel and EVGA consumer I suggest the Intel i7-7700K and the GTX 1070 SC or FTW. A Power Supply of 500 Watts or better and 16GB DDR4 RAM

Whatever ATX motherboard (Z100 series or Z200 series w/ socket 1151) will be just fine. The added features on any given motherboard depend on how one uses the computer.

If you plan on purchasing the 8th generation Intel processor (8700K) you will need to buy a Z370 series motherboard.

Warning: The 8700K will not fit into the socket of the Z170 or Z270 series board.
