Hi everyone,

I would like to announce the availability of a Windows program I have written that scans your PG courses folder for any courses that need updating and / or contains folders that are not valid or may contain duplicate courses.

download/pg_courses_checker_v112.zip

Please only download it from this topic as I cannot guarantee its integrity otherwise. If you find it available elsewhere please let me know by PM where you got it from.

1. This program is perfectly safe and does not require any installation. Extract the file using your favourite file extractor software. With Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 you may get a window appear similar to the following when attempting to run the program ...

Click on More info then click on Run anyway ...

2. The program will attempt to read your PG courses folder installation. If it successfully does so you will be informed as such. If you have an unusual Steam setup and my program isn't correctly listing the PG courses directory click on Override Detection (v1.7+).

3. Press Scan to allow the program to scan your courses folder. Up to date courses will appear in the top window, folders that aren't valid or are possible duplicates will appear in the middle window and courses that have updated versions in the PGLS Courses Database will appear in the lower window with a direct link to download them.

Any questions regarding this program please reply here.

I'm happy to say this has now been resolved Rick. :good:

Thanks for letting me take remote control of your computer to investigate. :clapping:

Can you direct the app to the folder that the downloaded courses are in? I download courses ( usually in zip format) and just extract them (to my C drive (SSD) into the 'Courses Folder that PG looks at) as and when I need them and delete them after playing each week.

My program always looks in the "Courses" folder that PG uses to list the courses in-game.
