Showing appreciation of our low scoring players

The best part of PG is playing alongside other players with varying Skills and styles of play. The amature with the gung ho attitude who outdrives everyone or the Tour pro who takes a cautious approach to control and limit mistakes, they all have there good days and bad. Then there are those that stand out because they are consistently on top. Those of us to struggle to maintain our game sometime question there consistency and at times we question the means that they get those unbelievable scores.
I have had the privilege of playing with some of these players who week in and week out record these low scores. I've played alongside Step when he's recorded scores of -12 &-13 and at the time it doesn't seem all that amazing, they make errors the miss puts but they still turn out top scores that you strugle to reach. Step today shows a score of -40 for 4 rounds of PGA18 with an opening round of 64. This morning I played alongside Ergo76prop (Steve) and he pulled in a round of 62 -9, which is two shots under step's opening score of 64 and that included a visit to the water hazard on 18 and a few missed birdy chances along the way, he probably would have come in with a -15 score on another day. I've played alongside other players that can turn in winning scores of an unbelievable nature and I've finally come to the realisation that these players don't need gadgets or equipment to reach the hieghts they achieve its all down to the skill of the player and we rally should appreciate them.
Which leads me to another myth that I hear whilst on the fairways, that the game is broken, PG have messed about with it and its no longable playable. Lol that being the case how do you explain the winning margins of -40 -45 and even -50 which shows that its not the game that needs attention but our style of play. I heard it said from a player that Tour pro was a joke that it was impossible to play and the margins were too great and yet there are Tour Pros Consistently putting in these vary low scores. This is undoubtably the best golf game there is , yes theres always room for improvement in both the game and the way we play it. Apreciate the skillful players and this fabulous game and strive to be a better player. Have fun and good luck
