Hi,
I will ask Crusher (Lee) to take a look at your topic and offer some suggestions. 2 things come to mind here, overheating or an issue with the PSU (Power Supply Unit).

Hello Bad,
First thing is to check your Power Supply demands. If you are not using a sufficient PSU for your Graphics card it would overheat the card and shutdown. Most use 500Watts or better.
Is this happening during game play or running other tasks or when you step away from the computer for 10 to 15 minutes?
Please post your specs. Thanks.

System is powerful enough. If you are only experiencing cashes during JNPG, then there is nothing I can say to help. However, if the computer just crashes periodically it is most likely the CPU is overheating because the cooling unit is not working properly or there is not enough thermal paste on the surface of the CPU.

Hi David,
When the computer does shut itself down are you able to power it back up again straight away or do you have to leave it for a while ?
If you have to leave it for a while that is an indication of overheating, usually the CPU, thus it won't let you power back up until it cools down.

I am able to power it back on, and it will run for 3 or 4 hrs of game play before shutting down again.
Thanks

Hello,
Just a couple idea's on your issue.
Have you checked your power management program in 'Setting"?
Do you hear any beeps during startup or shutdown? How many can be a clue.
I have an idea it may be a mother-board problem, just an idea.
I looked for the easiest and best explanation I could find on Google.
I hope for the best
randy

Randy thanks for the reply, I have check power settings in the settings menu, not sure if many apply to a non laptop, I get no beeps or warnings before it shuts down, its just like someone has pulled the plug on the system, I boot it right back up and it my run for hours before doing it again. I have just today, removed the CPU and cleaned the old thermal paste and re applied. moved the graphics card to a different PCIe slot to allow better cooling, the graphic card gets hot while playing the golf game, and I moved the radiator for the CPU cooler. Not sure what else to do. This problem just started this month .
Thanks
David
