Scoring becoming ridiculous

The thing I have always liked about JNPG has been the more realistic scoring when compared to other golf 'games', this is after all supposed to be more of a simulation of golf. Alas, some of the scores in the tournaments lately are becoming totally unrealistic, for example 28pts in round one of this weeks stableford comp' by a Tour Pro player. I am sorry, and hats off to the good players out there, but if JNPG wants to be seen as a realistic rendition of this great game, then the scoring on the so called most difficult setting should not be attainable.

yea something funny is going on ,and i also believe it is being passed around
as seems these scores are coming more often now and by more players.
i got to agree it is a damn shame.
TBH i just don't pay much mind to what others are doing in any game i play
as there are always people who will figure out how to slant things in their favor
and just nothing will ever stop that.
so i play for myself and not others.
i will say i have played MP with some of these low score folks
and you sure dont see mistake free rounds from them when in MP.
so it does make one wonder, then again i dont score as good in MP as i do playing solo.
who knows, best thing to keep myself happy is just not paying any mind to these scores and only worry
bout mine.

Yes it is fun and enjoyable dewman. Like davefv92c said I play for own enjoyment.

As I said in the original post I play RTSM, and I feel it gives the game a much better realism in the actual mechanics of the golf shot, and therefore more satisfaction when playing well. As I said hats off to the guys shooting these scores, I have tried 3 click on TP, and I was all over the place!

I don't want to stir it up as regards one method being easier than another. As long as we are all enjoying ourselves that is great. Just feel it is up to PP to address this sort of scoring, the recent changes in the wind mechanics was a good first step.

This is a weird post..... People need to realize that some people are just good, and any simulator, flight, driving, will always be outdone by someone. Some aren't that good so they claim cheating or cheats, or bash the game. Honestly step ya game up. And really, does it matter what others shoot? No money on the line, it's just a game. Have fun, because there are folks that just up and quit games anyway. Is it fun for you? Because when they play bad, they just quit, or don't care if they are making someone else's time less enjoyable. So I would rather play with the guy cheating and playing good and going low, which is ultimately challenging me. Doesn't matter what they shoot to me anyway. But I sure prefer that than listening to someone cry, moan, and bellyache because they don't have their "A" game, and want to quit. Or blaming the course for the ultra human error going on. Bottom line....it's a game...if ya like it, play.... if not, don't play.

Simple to cheat if you feel inclined:

1. Bad shot. Close the game while ball is in mid flight. Hope that it goes unnoticed in meta-data.
2. Use a controller that does not allow the ball to curve right or left when struck. Perfect line, every time.
3. Pretend to be using the classic three click mouse-swing during sign-up at a tournament site.
4. Use a mouse with a hacked driver to always have a straight shot.
5. Edge, even with motion swing for a perfect line.
6. Misc. Which covers stuff I haven't been made aware of.

Tour Pro players who constantly win have skills both in calculating shots and using exploits. Yet they will complain in forums about the glitches in the game to appear innocent.

Same old, same old since any computer game was designed. There are gutless people in everything we do in life.

Try that on PGLS its a penalty stroke per closedown.

Your swing choice is automatically recorded to and registers against your round

I use motion swing and I fail to see any advantage of a straight edge, I'm only moving my mouse between 1 and 2 inches to hit a full shot and if anything a straight edge would be a hindrance as motion swing is all about your tempo, get that wrong you have a hook or a slice.

On points 2 and 4 I cannot comment as I have not tried a controller and have no idea what a hacked driver is. However the main cheat I have heard of is the cheat engine which slows the meter down for 3 clickers but again I believe there is or soon to be a anti cheat for this from PG.

Here at PGLS Mark and his staff work hard to try make this game as fair as possible for all members to enjoy and threads like this just cause unneccessary concern to the membership and are not wanted.

HOWEVER if anyone has any PROOF whatsoever another player is cheating please forward it to any member of the admin team and believe me it will be dealt with accordingly.

Enjoy your games. :drinks:

There's just no point in people posting in here about low scores it will happen. as far as cheating goes this will always happen with any computer game. we can all waste our breath going on about cheating but that's all it is a waste of breath.could never be stopped on wgt and can never be stopped on pg. cheaters are always 1 step ahead of the guys trying to stop them. so my advice to you is forget it and just play for fun and with guys you know and stop these pointless posts in here.
