Would it be possible to create new levels.The ranges are to big in my opinion. As an amateur im playing against another amateur that i am giving 15 shots to. Thats 60 shots for a 72 hole event. Perhaps a legend, tour pro, pro, semi pro, amateur and hacker might work? legend and tour pro will still play off tour pro. pro will play off pro and semi pro will still play off amateur as for pg.

Good idea Terry.....Or what about only one level four everyone in tourneys(Tour Pro or Pro for instance) and then have a handicap system for all events....

Good points and I like the idea of one level and handicap and I was against handicap at the PGA event but it seems as the only way to have competitive fields at this point. For me the best event we have right now is the Classic and if it was weekly I would play it every week and if we went to this model we would be more like the real PGA Tour and see more winners in the winners circle.

I like both ideas but lean towards markn idea more.

I do like the suggestion of more lvls i.e Semi Pro.. Legend. I have dropped recently to Hacker from Ammateur because I could not compete against top Ammi's who are scoring higher than many pro's. I cant see me staying at Hacker lvl for long because I will be doing excactly what I was fighting against in Ammi lvl. Taking some of the top ammi's out and making them Semi pro would make it more competitive for others and would satisfy those that feel that Pro would discourage there play. Same with Tour Pro, they would have another challenge to face.

I can see the main problem with this is that Perfect Golf create lvl changes and so there would be no jump in Skill lvl between Ammi and Semi pro, but it would level the numbers out and increase competition. The one thing I am enjoying in Hacker is that I'm able to challenge for top spot, unless there is big movement in Ammi I cant see that happening for me soon

We may look to introduce a 'Career' level, alongside the actual PG level. We want, however, to see what any future release does in addressing player stratification, and so would most likely not introduce it until any release, or at the very least, until the beginning of a new year of competition.

The problem we have is players already get a little confused with the simple level system... if we start to throw an additional level in there, we could face a real mess!
