Here is the command line:

wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer,version,serialnumber

There are many command lines, hundreds of them. However, there are about 20 I keep in a text file that come in handy from time to time. Like sfc /scannow for checking Windows System Files integrity.

This tip today is on how to find the manufacturer, model number and serial number of the motherboard in your computer.

1. Open a command prompt by typing CMD in the search field in the Start Menu (W7 or W10). When CMD appears, right click it and choose: Run as Administrator. Or use Windows Powershell if that is your preference.

2. Type or much easier, copy and paste the command line above. Press Enter. Everything about your motherboard will appear. Great for visiting the manufacture's site to download the latest BIOS, Chipset, LAN, Audio and Video drivers etc.
