Tour corse conditions

Hi All
I would like to once again go over the policy PGLS has when setting weather conditions and Pins for our our tours especially the main four tours: PGA18, PGA9, Stableford and PGLS Open and including PG Classic.
Where a real golf course is been used by the tour. going back to the days when Mike organised the tours when we agreed use the weather forecast from the course to decide the weather conditions. where the course is fictional then the setter makes the conditions up.
I have just set all four rounds for the next PG classic course Royal St Georges. Bringing up the weather forecast for the next 10 days it was impossible to find a dry summer day forecasted. Most days were showery at some time during the day, not stormy or persistant so I have made 3 cloudy and one day of consistant rain. Taking into account of the wet conditions I have made to rounds of fairways soft but with green staff working on the greens they are still classed as normal giving the first 2 rounds slightly soft making them slightly slow hence the 11 stimp. the day of rain I have made the stimp 10.
I have also used the winds given, slightly reducing some to allow for the winds given by PG are somewhat out. This months PGLS Open have been gusty at times, I have allowed this based on the wide open fairways with very few winds but I still have reduced the winds down from Windy to Gudty
The Pins are set by the admin and within reason it is there choice, trying to ensure that green roll is reakistic where possible.
My prefurence for round 1 would be to pick easy pins and to give players a good start to encourage them to play more rounds, but all setters can di it differently, but we dont want to put newco, ers off by msking them play all rounds uder stimp 13 0r 9 conditions
We want to make it challenging but not impossible for all levels and if you check the leaderboard I would say we are winning, but unfortunately we will necer please everyone
