Beta Courses

If you open up new courses you see 20 courses listed. 10 of those are beta courses. I appreciate anyone who takes the time to do one of these, time consuming, courses. I just wonder how many will actually complete their beta course. Seems we have more and more that never get finished. Currently there are 56 beta courses listed under RandyG's course listing. All that work doing a course and not finishing. Not complaining just trying to understand why.

great post there Alan. i was giving this some thought the other day.
i'm thinking it just may be a lack of communication between the designers and the staff here at PGLS
and the designers not sending Mark a PM when they are done with their courses and have taken them out of beta.

i know as a prior tourney setter on The Caddyshack, and the HDH, and now doing some setting here at PGLS which here at PGLS we will not set beta courses on the other 2 Country Clubs i did tend to every now and again use a beta after i tested it a few times where it seemed the courses should have been taken out of beta. there are some real good courses out there that are still in beta and it is a shame as the designers do not get the tourney play on these courses that they deserve.

There are two threads:
1. Released Courses
2. Beta Course Testing Area

When I post my courses to "Released Courses" it is because I have released the course and it is no longer in "beta."

i figured so with yours JS but they are still tagged beta in the course library, you may want to send Mark a little note and let him know they have been removed from testing, but then again i would bet he will read it in this thread.

My bad,

I've now removed the Beta from both versions of Cypress Landings. :good:

Mark, thanks for everything you do. I don't know how the heck you juggle all the PGLS balls!
