Onto the next event and a good turnout again, 68 players.

33 of PGLS' top 50 ranked players took part this time and 13 from outside the top 100 chancing their arm this time.

Biggest surprise was the fall of the 2nd ranked player NIBNOB posting a modest even par which fell 1 shot outside the cut which had 12 players at joint 39th and further proves, just having an off round at the wrong time and you are outta here..doesn't matter what standard you are. 3 other top 50 players falling at the first hurdle this time were duncanmathieson (29th), davefv92c (43rd) and Chicas (25th).

Of those surviving players, 14 out of the top 20 ranked players are still in the mix and 7 of the outsiders made it through too (POGO at 143rd, bo.leto1947 at 141st and Just Jolly at 140th) with 5 Amateurs making it through too, can they get to round 3 this time?

An interesting mix left to fight out the top 20 and ties....good luck all.

5 hours to go...7 to play and if 3 post -2 or better, those on -1 will miss out, it's tight!

In all 27 have got through and now fight it out for a top 10 and ties place.

We still have 2 Amateurs both ranked outside the PGLS top 100 left - POGO and roadrunner531, only 1 more good round needed.

3 more of the top 20 fell by the wayside, ergo76prop, bobfletch and Riddler which leave 6 of the top 20 left and only 3 of the top 10 ranked players...is there a surprise to be had again after TBone won event 1 from 17th rank??

I made it through to the second round both times. I don't have a ranking? Is that why no mention? Don't really care, just curious.

You didn't qualify for Round 3 which is currently in progress ...

With 6 still to play with only 7 hours and a bit hours left, -2 is safe sitting at jt4th. If all 6 beat that score, they will still be jt10th!!!

Can the 6 remaining, 1) remember to play! and 2) get to -2 or better???

Bit of pressure golf and the track is not easy!

I understand that I didn't qualify for the 3rd round, in either of the first two tournaments. My comment was regarding the mention of players in this post:

I didn't make it to round 3, but did make it to round 2, which I think he is talking about.
