PG auto minimizing

So, I am having a terrible time trying to find out why PG is auto minimizing on me. It happens everything I start the game, but there is no rhyme or reason to the time. On two occasions now it has happened to me in the middle of my swing and needless to say it doesn't help the score on that hole!
I know this is sort of open ended, but I am willing to hear any ideas...

A lot of the time it is something running in the background that has updated itself causing PG to "lose focus" and gets dropped to the taskbar.
Try booting your PC into Safe Mode with Networking and see if PG still does it.
Press the WINOWS key bttom left and R. This should bring up the RUN box. Type in msconfig click on the BOOT tab then set it up like this ...
Restart your PC then try PG.
To return to normal operating mode remove the tick next to "Safe boot" and reboot once again.

hi dave
do you have adobe acrobat reader.
I found that it was randomly looking for updates and would minimise jnpg as you described.
I ended up uninstalling it and have had no further problems.
hope this helps m8.
cheers

ok, all good now and I'm back on the right computer, a little tip here if you are trying this fix remove your password before restarting in safe mode as windows will not open with your windows pinn
with it while in safe mode. or you can use your Microsoft acct password to log in while in safe mode
but if you are using a pinn on windows it will not work
also thanks for the tip their Dunc will chase that down now and disable or uninstall it.

Dave,
With Safe Mode and networking it should still work
it would not remember my windows pin, I ran a search through google
and found out there I could get it open by using my Microsoft account password so that is what I did
then finished with your post and took it out of safe mode and my pin then worked again.

Mark is correct. Usually a program that steals focus will cause any full screen game to minimize. Windows Notifications can also steal focus.
I have all notifications disabled plus anything to do with Xbox has been uninstalled using Revo Pro Uninstaller.
