PGLS

On Week 13 of the PGLS Tours there is a WGC event to be played at Pine Valley.

This will be a Stableford event and the points allocated will be as follows:

-3 Double bogey or worse
-1 Bogey
0 Par
+2 Birdie
+5 Eagle
+8 Albatross (double-eagle)

Stableford scoring rewards risk-taking because a birdie is twice as rewarding (2 points) as a bogey is punitive (-1). Eagles offer huge pay-offs (5 points) and the worst a player could possibly do would be a double bogey (-3 points) at which point he could pick up his ball and carry on to the next hole. Those golfers who make a few bogeys but also make a lot of birdies or eagles are more likely to feature at the right end of the leaderboards.

in this weeks stable i finished 9 points behind Andy....with this new system i finished 19 points behind him....
Cubs moves from 7 to 14 points behind Andy.....where is the logic?

It's happening Mark, no debate, just accept it. Just wondering, are you a 'solo' player like Andy?

this weeks pga18 i finished 45 shots behind andy where is the logic? it might have taken 4 times as long as andy but at least i had fun chatting on skype with someone for all 4 rounds.

no im not just a solo player, where i can i play with other peeps..pga18,pairs,SSC all with Perc and alot of alt games in lobby.....and i sometimes come into M&G, as you know, and look for a game...but alot of the time other players dont want to play with me.. but thats not the issue...its the new system, nobody will be able to catch Andy now......but good luck with your new tourney

Incredible!! You don't agree with the implementation of a new points scoring system which will be used in ONE EVENT out of 46 - so you drop out of the whole lot!! LOL

I had a lovely time clicking on my own with the seasonal tunes on thank you. So yes, I had fun too, no need to imply I didn't.
