Rules

Seems while we were enjoying Christmas PGLS admin decided to change the rules on Tier changes and backdated it to 1/12/19 a couple of questions immediately spring to mind.

1 Why was a pm not sent out to all registered users, and still hasn't been to date, to notify them of such an important change to the rules ( normal procedure)

2 Why was it backdated to 1/12/19 and why weren't members given notice of the change so they new where they stood? Surely any professional organisation would have given their members this courtesy.

3 Why are the rules for tier movements not on the rules page?

1 - it was only a change in the number of events included in the calculation...not a fundamental change of rules like a change of included events.

2 - backdated to make sure any people that casually played 1 event over Christmas would not be caught out if they happened to play very well in that 1 event and could have been moved up a Tier (has happened in the past). Only other players it might have affected are would be Sandbaggers hoping to move back down a Tier having only played 4 rounds (not you Les). 12 rounds seemed a good number which indicates players that are participating and so if still triggering a Tier move, it is merited...either way.

3 - this set of rules covers a number of events rather than one specific event, it is on the General Section of the Forums, easy to find.

It was before Christmas..plenty of time for players to ensure they had played enough to ensure or avoid a level change.

Yes it was it went from 4 rounds per month to 12 rounds per month that is a substantial change to members who have less time due to work etc, and there was also a fundamental change of included events as PGLS Tours now counts toward tier movements both of which members were not given the courtesy of being informed about.

That statement is just a cop out, no way an organisation with any professionalism would back date such a change in rules without giving any notice to its members whatsoever. Answer us this then its been backdated until 1/12/19 why were members who had played under 12 rounds some as little as 4 rounds offered the chance to move down a level in December? And why was a poll not offered to make this change to 12 rounds per month from 4 (seems there is polls for everything else on here) that move from 4 rounds to 12 is very significant, it could mean a player with high work commitments will not be able to meet the 12 rounds per month therefore unable to move up or down tiers, or another player could win 2 events by playing 8 rounds BUT he cannot be moved up as he hasn't played the minimum amount as per the rules, like I said to you in my pm this was rushed through without any real thought and we both know why.

Its probably the most important set of rules on the site and its not on the rules page, as far as easy to find in the General section of forums is concerned its only easy to find if you know what your looking for it should be on the rules page thats where anyone would look for rules.

Seems you have edited point 2 to say "not you Les", why would you do that because looking at these changes they only effected one person for that month and that happened to be me. Strange that!!
