Round 4 Strangeness

Just sharing a strange turn of events.
In round 4 on hole 11 we had a long birdie putt and we both hit our puts (me first). After my pard hit his, the game would not let him continue. So, we were forced to exit and resume. His putt was closer than mine, but the game gave us mine on resume? Anyway, I putted it in for what should have been a 3, but the game scored a 2. We did get a penalty stroke for exiting and resuming (I guess), so in the end the score was correct. It just didn't happen the way the score card shows it.
