Can't see much difference with the exception of the players animation in Links 2003 compared to not a lot for Perfect Golf.

I agree. In many ways Links 2003 has advantages over PG: The major is far less stress on a system (but yet, it's old tech). Secondly, the features in Links2k3 were/are impressive: Save and share shots as files, Customize the Player, windowed mode (love that) and I guess I can safely say it really set the precedent for future PC golf sims.
