To make each Period have that little bit extra on it......a Cup!!!

There will probably be 3 Divisions of 8 pairs to begin with and the rest will make the Feeder league. Any new pairs can join of course and will go into the Feeder league just like the Solo version.

There will be 4 groups of 6 pairs made up of 2 pairs from Div 1, 2 pairs from Div 2 and 2 pairs from Div 3 (seeded just like solo cup so seed 1 will be grouped with 8, 9, 16, 17 and 24th seeded pairs and so on).

The initial Divisions will be based on the 4 weeks of Aprils performances.

Periods 1 to 5 will involve a fixture (to follow) with your score pitted against your opponent with 5pts for a win and 3 for a draw and 1 for a loss. A pair not playing a fixture will get zero.

The top Pair from each group will go onto a Semi Final (period 6) and the Final (period 7).

Keep your eyes peeled for the opening groups....and good luck.

Initially, this cup will be different.

There are 20 teams signed up for May (forgot that some pairs are different from the weekly Pair up) and they are the ones who will enter the cup which I shall make up a format for today. If anyone else signs up before I finalise it, I will add them as lowest seeds.

If the number of teams grow (there are some that play Pair up weekly that haven't signed up yet!) I can alter it for June.

You might want to put the tie breaker rules together for the four CUP groups in advance. Using Group C as an example, something like this:

Wizards of Oz 11 group points 0 Eagle 12 Birdie 2 Bogey -10 (E+Bi+Bo) 52 total points
Den/USA 11 0 12 1 -11 51
Rong_Road 11 1 8 1 -9 51

Tie Breaker #1: Total Points Wizards of Oz wins with 52 Points
#2: Head-to-Head (if more than two teams, skip) Den/USA vs Rong_Road not played yet, TBD
#3: Score using (E+Bi+Bo) Den/USA wins -11 to -9
#4: Most Eagles rewards aggressive play
#5: Most Birdies
#6: Least Bogies
#7: Suggestions?

Also...for periods 6 and 7, do all 2nds play each other? Same for like finishers in each group down through 6ths? Or do these groups play periods 6 and 7 outside of CUP play (don't want teams to mistakenly think they're off for two weeks).
