this weeks pair-up hole 11

Not sure what happened here. The game gave us a lie in the hazard, so we played it. We each tried to advance it a couple times, but after hitting it the ball, it would not advance. I guess I would classify it as an inability to advance.

Scott could you give me an idea as to where on that hole this problem happened
and i will do a little testing to see if i can also make it happen. a screen shot would be great if you
happened to have saved one, if you stopped your round there you could do a resume and it would put you where this issue happened.
and you could screen shot it then.

just trying to help

after looking at your video that looks to be one of those spots you will just never be able to get out of
it should not have let you have a play it as it lies seeing how you are in water. if it was up to me i would just remove your resume and let you restart the round seeing how it is only the second hole. but it is not up to me good luck Scott but i believe the higher powers will also see you was just screwed
by not getting given a fair drop for a shot into a hazard

Thanks for taking the time to look at this Dave.

Basically when you hit the ball you immediately get a splash sound. You just get the "splash" and little or no advancement of the ball. I don't see any lateral hazard stakes around the water, but the post-shot-screen says you are in a hazard. So, I am guessing that its not marked correctly? Or at least that would explain the game allowing you to play from that spot. I am not sure whats up with the water sound though.

I've seen some colliders that were made to be really hard to get through, but in this case I don't see the ball physics you see in game with those sorts of colliders. In practice mode I placed my ball such that a cattail was not in front of me and had the same result. There is also no sound that you usualy hear with a collider.

Scott as i don't want to dip into others stuff to much anyway, lol you should send bilbad a message since he is the one that runs the
weekly pair up and point him to this thread as it will take either him or Mark to make it right.
thanks for the comp and i am sure it will get fixed when the right people see this post. i would also call it a flaw in the design.

i loaded up that hole in practise mode and put ball in there, it is BS but you can get out of it by going backwards take about 8 shots though...not really fair

We didn't try going backwards. If that ends up being our path forward, thats what we will do! LOL

Surely that should out of bounds in there :hmmm:

Scott, have you completed the round or would you rather us remove the resume?

We stopped where we were at and did not finish the round. Resume is not ideal because it took 3 or 4 shots to figure out that we were not getting out. I am not sure how many more shots it would take to get out. So I guess removing the resume is best.
