Riddler I know you did not pick the courses this year.
so I hope next year you give it a lot of thought and work out playing so many
fake fantasy courses. this course this week is a total joke. I hit one bad shot
that left me in an area I should have gotten a drop out of but oh no you got to hit the ball 4 times
to get it out, then the rest of the round is ruined, no fun at all. with all the real courses we have, I would not think it would be
an issue to use the real deal, instead of fake phoney crap. after all, if you really think about it these fake courses are built for nothing other then to defeat the player really kinda sad we even have them in the game.

Dave,
With 2 tours running you need over 100 quality courses between the two. Even some of the real courses aren't always quality.
I've attached the original 2020 schedule, with my picks for courses. I've monopolised all the good ones, though. I did play test them.
If this is useful, I've got all the schedules from 2007 to 2021 ready to go in a 40 meg file.

There are quite a few more American real courses then Continental so, some fantasy courses will have to be used for the Continental Tour. I posted this but can't find my post and did ask for suggestions on what fantasy courses members think would be best to play.

If we know the geographical location of where the real course being used is, could we not just find a PG course closest to it?

Mark, if you are asking for the American Tours then a good chance we could but with the limited courses available for the Continental Tour using fantasy courses, that have no location, would have to be used.

This is what I've done for the American Tour (Fedex Cup). Almost all of the substitute courses are in the same geographic location as the real course for that week. The largest exceptions are the Tropical ane Asian locations that the Cup plays at that we don't have courses for. In these cases, I pick a similar style of course (fictional) and play test.
The Fedex Cup now starts in September with a pre-season of 13 events that count for points. The 2021 schedule is also still modified with an extra US Open and Masters thrown into the mix. I'll post that soon.
If I can find a link for the European schedule, I'll assemble a similar list and pick some courses to populate with.
And...if you're wondering why I have Fedex Cup schedules going back to 2007, think Career Mod.

So it looks like our current American and Continental schedules were based on 1) a modified 2020 Fedex Cup schedule, with the September-to-December preseason moved to the end after the Tour Championship and 2) the 2020 European Tour schedule.
I have the 2021 Fedex Cup schedule layed out, just need to modify the front end so the season starts on January 2021 to correspond with the European schedule start date. In the front end, do we still want to include the two extra Majors? Those slots won't line up with the Euro Tour.
I can't find the 2021 European schedule though. Any help would be appreciated.

it is not available yet. We still have 9 plus weeks until 2021. I assume it will be available before then.

Keep an eye out for the link, and forward to me, please. I'll try to put this together for the 2021 season.

I would aggree that a few of the courses picked by players who no longer play on PGLS were not up to standard. I was able to dodge most of them using my guest choice. I might add that Alan (riddler) has done an excellent job throughout the season sometimes under trying circumstances.
For myself I wouldnt want to see only real courses used because I think we would loose some well built courses in the process. Courses such as :-
Abbotsley
Ayot Lakes
Blackwater Creek
Crystal Pines
Downland
Heritage Coast
Nautlilus Bay
The Old Warden
Wells Hollow
I have made a list of around 20 courses that I would like to see us keep and so I hope that we choose courses on merrit rather because they are real.
This years PGLS Tours have been great and look forward to next year under the guidence of Riddler.
