What can be the reasons behind suddenly not being able to chat anymore during MP games?

It really is a fun breaking experience is you are discussing ones fancy monitor or shot outcomes and suddenly the radio gets silent.

Sry if this has already been asked and answered-

Do you mean the in-game chat?

try this it might bring your chat back, if it does I would start doing it on a regular basis
I do it every morning with I turn on steam.

@Dave, verifying files now and then is good practise, but I was curious if there was a pinpoint reason

Sometimes Steam interferes with it. I would close the game and restart Steam.
