Ever tried a board game version of golf that pre-dates computers? Here's one called Thinking Man's Golf that I played now and then while growing up, and later when my grandfather died I ended up getting his copy. My set is missing the wax pencil used to mark the board, but I understand a Sharpie also works (must be easily dry-erasable; as you don't want to mark the board permanently).
Did anyone else ever play this game? Are there any other classic board game versions of golf around?
Wow! Yes, I played that many years ago. thanks for the memory.

Hi I do have a golf board game stored away (not sure where though) similar idea but no lay over with squares for disttance, this game had the squares printed on the board, many years since I played it. One game i did spend hours playing though was this. Who remembers it.

OMG yeah I remember World Class Leaderboard on the PC which is still available to play as abandonware ...
WCLB was my first golf game purchase. How funny it looks now. The one I remember most, as being funny, was Jack Nicklaus. The fairways and greens looked a lot like Leaderboard but it had trees. The funny part was the sound it made for the ball bouncing on the fairway or green bong, bong, bong, bong, etc, ect.

This version (in the video) as stated was used by Commodor 64 where I first played it. You loaded the cassette which took around 20 mins to load before you could play.
