Got to agree with you Terry, its just like wgt, no control over the levels, only thing to cure it is a handicap system as in real golf, follow the real handicap system and apply it here for every tourney a player plays, lets get everyone on the right level they play to, I believe it needs to be looked into

OGT is a joke for the same thing, this game is far superior to wgt why spoil a very realistic game by not having a realistic system to control levels of play, its about time it happened, we would have far more people arriving here to play.

Players will be assigned new levels of play, along with all of the accompanying moaning and wailing, at the end of this season when we introduce Tour Pro for some of the high scorers, and Hacker for some of those struggling.
The end of the season is in a couple of weeks, at the end of this month.

The problem is the controller IMO. I would have quit OGT this season if they hadn't adapted a 3 click only league. Take a look at the controller players FIR at OGT. It's ridiculous. They hit them straight every time and they know it.

I received an email sometime back stating tour pro and master pro would be implemented in the future. From what I understand tour pro, will be available at the end of the month. My question is what is master pro, I have no idea.

As far as I know there is no "Master Pro" level.
We are adding "Hacker" as a lower level and "Tour Pro" as a higher level and that's it.

We are continuing to develop levels of play, which may see both Tour Pro,
and a 'Master Pro' level come into play, but these are longer-term aims as
the tour continues to evolve.
This is what the email said, that is why I asked.

The thought behind Master Pro was a level which we control and assign to players who would refuse to move up to Tour Pro, saying that the aiming restrictions make it an 'unfair' level. We have since decided that the use of Tour Pro is all that we need as a level above Pro.
Because of the weighting of the points, which sees Tour Pro scoring twice the level for Pro, we now would think that most would move in the direction of Tour Pro and accept the challenge.
The way we are working the movement of levels is that a compulsory move will be imposed if the player is outside of the scoring range 'tolerance' shown in in the following two tables.
http://pgls.golfladders.co.uk/forums/vi ... f=44&t=707 - Pro Tour Scoring Average
http://pgls.golfladders.co.uk/forums/vi ... f=44&t=708 - Amateur Tour Scoring Average
These tables are to be on a weekly basis each Thursday (update pending), providing a indication of scoring averages across a number of weeks of play.
Others can request a move to the Tour Pro level if they wish to compete at that level, even if they are not scoring outside of the accepted range for Pro. Players of all levels can ask to play 'above' their level, but never below. I am also hoping to contact a number of Tour Pro players who are members here but not playing regularly with a view to introducing them into that level as well.
Sorry if this seems to be a change to what was discussed earlier in my previous messages, but as a constantly evolving Tour and with the interests of fair competition for all, some ideas are adapted to work as we see is best for the overall health of the tour.

I hope it all turns out as intended, we should all notice a change in time if all goes to plan, it is badly needed and would make for a great improvement and a real challenge in competition, that's what we are all here for + the fun.

cheers
