PG won't load

Just started today, the PG logo just keeps flashing but the game never loads. Went into Steam and verified all the files. Any ideas what I can do?

Sounds like either Steam or PG having issues but game loads fine for me. Looking at the time you posted this Niblick47 a lot of players have played tournies since then.

I did check out that my problem didn't seem to be caused by Steam because as you say a lot of others were turning in scores at the same time. I'm going to uninstall PG within Steam and then trying installing it again.

Remember to backup your courses folder before uninstalling :biggrin:

Uninstalled the game within Steam and then installed it again. Still won't load and the courses are all still in the courses folder. I guess I'll uninstall the game from within windows and then install it again from scratch. Thanks for the reminder about the courses.

If you can retrieve the following file from within the PG folder ...

\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\Perfect Golf_Data\output_log.txt

and add it here I can take a look at it.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling 3x, still won't run. Thanks for taking a look at this..

The only thing wrong I could see is this ...
[http] file://C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\RecordedRounds\Pinehurst #220220113133959.rnd (Couldn't open file C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Perfect Golf\RecordedRounds\Pinehurst )
but that would mean you had actually tried to load the recorded round, which obviously means the game must of loaded normally.

I don't think I ever tried to load a recorded round on Pinehurst. Early last year the game would load fairly quickly. Then at some point several months ago it started taking longer and longer to load. Then when I finished a round the game would lock up and I would get a message the game was not responding and I had to close the program. So something happened at that time and now it won't load at all. In any case, thanks for looking into it. At this point, there's nothing I can think to do.
