Hi All

I 've created this thread to give members the opportunity to introduce themselves. So I'll start it off

My name is Paul Mrshall Aka Seasider47 here and Skeggy47 in WGTLS. I was born in 1947 ( so am officially in Baby Boomer grp) in Long Eaton Derbyshire and worked for British Rail in Derbys Carriage and Wagon Works for 20 years. Started playing golf in 1983 and joined the clubs entertainment committee a few years after. Always a big collector of music so ended up running social dances at the golf club that, led me to start up a mobile disco in the 80s. We bought a caravan on a site in Skegness that had its own 9 hole Golf course, we had it for 8 years. I am now retired and live in Skegness just 2 mins from the beach. Due to poor mobility am not able to play golf now but enjoy the online competition at Perfect Golf. Also play Civ 6 and Train Simulator.

Hi everyone

JimSteel aka Jimbob59 whatever forum I'm on. Also a Baby Boomer born in 1950 . Also live on the North Sea Coast up in South Shields, NE England.
a 15 minute walk to the beach however. Only played a few rounds of real golf and again Hips are too knackered to walk a course now.

Born in Gateshead where I worked in the Education Service 30+ years until I retired age 59 when I started playing Computer Golf on the Wii. ( hence the 59) Still run a Wii Forum ( 7 years ) but down to only 6 players so a limited lifespan now well it is TW12 so a bit long in the tooth I guess.

Not a big tournament player, much prefer lobby games, so the 9 hole events here at PGLS are ideal for a quick game.

Love all sports and played a lot when younger so not surprised the old joints are shot after the abuse I put them through.

Hi all,

Mike here, also known as MiMiC. I have been playing Perfect Golf since its release, having previously come from Links which I played for a few years back in the late-90s and then came back to around halfway through the next decade. I was known as MimicPS over there, as I was a player who used the Powerstroke movement swing. I ran a European Tour through LSPN which matched locations and even local weather to the rounds to create as immersive experience for players as possible.

I was born in Greenwich, London some 48 long years ago. I began work as a runner/messenger at a film and video post-production company where I worked my way through to Supervising Editor and 2nd Assistant Director. I then moved into production and sub-editing for a couple of national newspapers before moving through to a start-up business in 'new media' as it was at the time, providing internet-distributed commercial and business information to major businesses and industry leaders.

Changes in my personal life led me to take a new throw of the dice as the millennium approached which saw me move to the other (rather shaky at present) side of the world where I scuba-dived and supported an Auckland-based dive shop and a freelance novice training program. My time spent in New Zealand before family commitments brought me back to the UK convinced me that my next career should be as in touch with nature as possible. I then studied for a HND in Horticulture and became a ranger for my local authority, running and maintaining operations across London's largest and greenest boroughs - talk about a complete career change!

Presently in slow recovery from lymphatic disease, I love to spend what time I can on my own garden and other projects. I met Mark and Les (Biffa) online having shared a few rounds on the game and they were kind enough to give me the opportunity to help them run PGLS as well as encourage me to take a look at how we could build and develop the site. Thanks guys! It is certainly making for constructive work for somewhat idle hands... lol.

Hi
Terry here also know as Terbal and moaning bastard to some others, but I am harmless. I was born in south London some 67 years ago ahhhhhhhhh. I am a freelance Architect working in south Wales for my sins. My home is in a small village in Surrey called Cranleigh. I have 2 daughters who i brought up on my own and they both squat in my house in surrey since they finished uni. I bought this game the first day it was out and have seen many changes most are not good for my crap graphics card but hey its only a game. I was on wgt for many years and spent a lot of hard earned cash as i never play single person games to earn credits. I have made loads of friends on here especially a very good friend Wayne who lives over the pond. So if you catch me online say hi, I am a bit of a joker so take what i say with a pinch of salt. I am for ever giving Mark & Mike stick but they do a great job (please dont tell them I said that)

Terry

Hi, Steve here, born in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, England. I am 62 years young with 2 children, 2 Granddaughters and a Grandson on his way in April, the birth of this baby boy will ensure my family tree lives on. I have been playing online golf for around 15 years following Mark( Site Owner )for all those years on his previous sites Agls and Wgt, and now PG. I am proud and privileged to have met him on 3 occasions and served as his Moderator on WGTLS, apparently still running but on the demise, but to be fair PG is IMHO the far better game  Mark has been a ROCK for me and I thank him greatly for the support :good:I played under the name of Jollygreen before coming here, I now play under the name of Jollybandido after toying with others names, but kept the forename as I felt it wouldn't be me without it. I am also a keen real golfer off a current Handicap of 17 which over the years has wavered between 14 & 18 so after around 50 years of playing I call that fairly consistent :meeting: :hehe:
Hope to catch some if not all of you for a game from time to time.

Jolly golfing ladies and gents :drinks:  :v:

Hello all, Sikkum here. Real name Archie. Born in Scotland in 1959 and moved to the land Downunder a very short time later. I commenced virtual golf at WGT but tired of the constant demands for purchases. JNPG was a blessing and way more diversified than WGT. I work in a maximum security prison and am an avid golfer in real life. I currently play off a 9 handicap and a current member of Albany Links Course (AKA That Bitch by the Seaside) Married twice and with my soulmate now for almost 25 years. Love travelling and have skied Canada (our 2nd home) as well as Japan and South Korea.
I tend to take the virtual game probably too seriously but I guess that's in my nature. I also play almost every evening with another new member (TheZiggy) although we always play 18 and usually 2 courses. I see 18 as a true test of golf rather than a 9.
Hit me up if you're lonely or looking for a game, and remember......."the worst game of golf is still better than the best day of work"

Hi - Name's John Kohschulte aka OnyxCarp.

Born in the Netherlands in 1968 I moved mith my parents to New Zealand where I grew up and learned playing rugby the All Blacks style. Unfortunately my mother couldn't live so far away from Holland so my dad made a difficult decision and the family remigrated after a couple of years in God's own country. Originally my name is "Jan-Tjits" (Frisian) but in NZ the Kiwis dubbed it "John Shit" after three months of playing flyhalf in the Auckland Rugby Union - that latter part has been dropped for obvious reasons.

I am a freelance PRINCE2 projectmanager/change manager/consultant specialized in Geographical Information Systems. In my spare time (lots of it lately) I love to go sailing, listen to bluesrock, enjoy good food & drink, read books on submarines and play simulator games on the computer.

JNPG is one of the games I always return to. My pro difficulty golf style can be described as utterly unstable with a terrible snap variation. Luckily my approaches can make good a lot. I do not play golf IRL by the way. I also used to play field hockey and my golf instructor gave up hope he could ever improve my swing technique, so before he could proclaim my swing as something smelly I returned him the driver to prevent some nickname to be created.

Nice to be given the opportunity to introduce myself,
Happy golfing!
