Just curious......is there a score for a hole in one on a par 5?..........................currently you get 8 points for double eagle which is a 2 on a par 5....

with this tourney theres a good chance of this happening or maybe it already has and scored just 8 points......... maybe 12 points(hio par 5) would be good for this......

Unfortunately the API doesn't allocate points for a hole in one on a Par 5.

What it does allocate is "Hole in one" but that applies to any par a hole is.

As an example if I enable "Hole in one" and allocated 12 points to it, yes you would get 12 points on a Par 5, but it would also apply to Par 4's and Par 3's when they should be allocated points as Albatross (Par 4) and Eagle (Par 3).

Yes as it's a Par 3 a hole in one is counted as an Eagle (5 points).

On a Par 4 a hole in is counted as an Albatross (8 points)

seems a shame to only get 8 points for hio par 5..... couldnt you add a triple eagle...12point category?

I think there are many more 8 point scores during a weekly tournament then HIO. I would not have an issue giving 10 points to any HIO no matter what the par is. I think the problem is programming a HIO on a par three and not having the program give that person 5 points for an eagle. I think that was what Mark was saying.
