Why is it that I am blocked from messaging non-friends yet they are not blocked from contacting me/inviting me to games? Is there a setting I have to apply here? Help!

Messaging non-friends is a Steam thing. Contacting and inviting players to games is PG and as far as I can see there is no way to stop non-friends from inviting anyone they want.

My point is, I would like to be able to message/invite non-friends but am unable - was wondering if there is a setting that would allow me access since others seem able to do it

Once in PG you can invite anyone into a game you have setup, friend or not. Messaging in PG is controlled by Steam which doesn't allow you to do so to non-friends.

Thanks, Mark, but when I try to message/invite a non-friend, I get a message saying I cannot send message to non-friend - this is what I am trying to resolve
