Before I pull the trigger on a new screen, I'm wondering about this. And what will the affect be if its not?

No, 2560 x 1440p is 2k, but if there are those who use 4k, then 2k should be no problem. Thanks.

Just watch your snap. If you keep missing it then the resolution may be the reason. In this case you should go down step by step until the snap is back again. We had this problem several times. You can also try to go down in quality, from Ultra-High to high etc.

I use a 4k TV as one of my monitors. I can set my desktop and PG to 4096x2160 or 3840x2160 and 2560x1440 (2k).
But I have it set to 2560x1440 which suits games best, or at least for me (16GB RAM - GeForce RTX 2060 super)

I also play on 4k tv.
But I prefer to play pg at 1900 x 1080 as I noticed a bit of lag on swing meter using higher resolutions.
Just experiment with settings until you are getting no lag.
