The big difference is the snap "tolerance" level - Pro is more demanding - "off-snap" hits will be more punative - otherwise, much the same

In Amateur you have the ability to 'check swing ' - that is, your swing isn't committed until you make the third click for the snap. Anytime before that, if the swing doesn't look or feel right, you can just take your hand off the mouse, the swing doesn't happen, and you can try again. Once you're Pro, you're committed once you make the first click to start the swing so you have to do your best with what you have.
Amateurs can aim in the F2 view and one or two others that I never used when I was an Amateur. Pros can't use those views but can still aim in the overhead view. Tour Pros can't even use the overhead view and can only aim in the main view.

Thanks for the answers. Playing Amateur as I'm a newbie but have played Links in the past . I use the 3 click but didn't know about the hand off mouse thing . Have used F2 but not recently . I think its time to step up . If you hear a loud groaning sound coming from the South West of England . That will be me . It could also be that the WHUFC have lost again .
