rocket shot Tough Stuff

Round 3, hole 7 par five, played 55yd shot to green, hit hole and rocketed 470yds OOB. I exited and played from same spot with 1 stroke penalty added at end. Not sure if this qualifies for removal of penalty, or should I have one added for not playing as if OOB? Never had one of these before.
