What's worse for you?

Bogey (or worse) on the 1st hole or on the last hole.

I think I'm 50/50 on that score.

If I mess up the 1st hole I feel under pressure for the rest of the round.

But if I have a fairly good round going and then muck up the last hole I get upset with what might have been.

Definitely the former. I just shot an 11 on the second hole (!), but I still managed to play under par.

For me, the hole number makes no difference. First hole, last hole...whatever...it is that ONE HOLE that is a card killer. I just finished the 2nd Round at Quail Hollow, I stepped up to the 17th tee at -4 with a clean card. I put it in the water twice. Fortunately, my second drop was on the fairway collar next to the green and I putted in for a 5. But...that ONE HOLE killed a good round.

Like you, Rick, I had a decent (for me)round going at Quail Hollow until I got to the 18th and blew my drive into the creek on the left - ended up with double bogey and fukt up my score! I would rather double the first hole and try to come back - blowing it on the 18th drives me into my wine bottle! LOL

I also had one round at Quail Hollow where on the 18th I put the ball in the creek twice and ended up with 8 shots for the hole - a real round mess up.
