Accidentally on the Continental tour...

So at the very beginning, before I participated in any tournaments, I selected three guest events to play in because I thought I had to. I had no clue what I was doing. Well, the first of the events has crept up and it's not letting me play in the American tour. Is it too late to opt out so that I can play in the American tour or should I just go ahead and play the Continental tourney?

As I understand the rules, once you have picked your choices on each leg, you are committed to these courses. You can, however, change your selections for leg 3 since it has not yet begun.

This is correct. Leg 2 is the current leg and you can no longer change your Guest Events for it. Check what Guest Events you have selected in Leg 3 as you can amend these to your hearts content until Leg 3 starts. Please remember you don't need to select any Guest Events at all if that's your decision.
