The last two times I closed the game, a small box appeared in the bottom right-hand corner of my monitor that said "Cloud Error - Perfect Golf." To my knowledge, my scores are being recorded, so I'm not sure what's going on and if I should be worried about it?

That is indicating a sync issue with Steam rather than anything else.
