Some tasty pins on round 4, wish I hadn't played when tired but enjoyed the test and did a Sergio on 15 spinning the ball back into the water from the middle of the green!!! Amen corner wasn't kind either after leaving a downhill chip from long right on 11...bogey followed and again on 12 with that pesky wind blowing hard mid ball flight.
Overall, great course and enjoyed the event.

Really enjoyed the challenge this week. Rather stupidly tried RTSM-H on the last round when I normally use RTSM-V, undid all the good work of the previous three rounds.

71 finishers makes it the 6th best for event finishers over the last 38 weeks, since the Open week in July 2018!
Over the same period, this event had the highest average score (after the usual ignoring of top and bottom 15% of scores for each round) - 301.92 or +14! The only time the field average has topped a 300 total.

I only know of two guys who play RTSM-H. I've played with both and they used the Power Stroke in Links so they are used to the horizontal stroke. One thing I did notice about the Augusta tourney is that for the first time I can remember the scores from the 3C players was much more realistic unlike the arcade scores that are the norm each week.

I really enjoyed Augusta this week. It was nice to see that my four round total was still five strokes behind the leaders round 1 score. I belong in Tour Pro. Rightttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.

No answer as handicap isn't the answer as players can manipulate that so that's not feasible and tricking the courses up doesn't work either as the top players are still going to eat it up. It's sort of how it was at Links we all new Roy Higgi was going to win so everyone just started playing for top 10's and no different here as only two guys are going to win on any given week. Probably the best thing to do is don't tell people they have to play a particular level let them choose or form a new Super Elite for the few that want stomped each week. My hat is off to those few but the truth be told it's much more fun just playing at the lower levels that being TP and playing them.

I'm with ya there. The game is a lot more fun playing as Amateur. As Amateur I can miss a bottom snap by a little and still be in the fairway or close to the pin on an approach shot. As Tour Pro if I miss the bottom snap by the slimmest of margins, I'm in the rough, miss the green completely or have very long putts. Not fun.
