Thanks John - I didn't know whether the 'Tours' concept would be workable but Mark has done an incredible job putting it all together, so kudos to him for sure! One or two glitches have been identified, as you might expect, but they have been fixed. If any more come to light I'm certain that Mark will utilise his expertise to good effect again!

Earned points from ALL 46 weeks of the season just accumulate until the end. Possibly in future seasons this may become more like the 'real life' system, but to begin with we're keeping it nice and simple!

You are correct in your assumption that ALL tournaments are stroke play - even the scheduled second WGC event in Week 13 which, in reality, is matchplay. As it would be extremely unlikely that we would complete a matchplay event within one week, I decided to make our version of the event stroke play - and to use probably one of the best PG courses available, that being the superb Pine Valley.

We hope that everyone will enjoy the 'Tour experience' when it starts in January. Just to add a little extra 'something' I will probably 'set the scene' before each event with a short preview of what players can expect out on the course!

I totally don't get not choosing Le Golf National for the French open. You don't like it. I do so I'd enjoy playing it. "Improvising" to this degree is counter intuitive to the basic set up of the Tours. Looking further down the line "The American Tour has a lot of very good, real courses - but the Continental Tour does not have that luxury unfortunately," - that would dampen the enthusiasm for playing the Continental Tour.

There should be no issues signing up

Currently 50 players have so far without issues. I can confirm you haven't signed up. I assume you are trying to do so via this page ...

Dave - when we have a stand-alone Career Mod (coming soon), you can populate the schedules with any course you desire.

I don't know if you are aware, but I'm over halfway through playing all the PG courses and giving them my own personal rating. I have already done this with Le Golf National and I would consider it to be an adequate course, and certainly not one of the best. Of course, that is just my own personal opinion - but as far as the PGLS Tours go, it's my opinion that counts. The decision has been made not to use it - and that won't change, unfortunately for you.

That's possibly so but, so far at least, of the 55 sign-ups we've had, 29 will be playing on the Continental Tour. Therefore it would be reasonable to assume that the selection of courses on that Tour has not deterred players from taking part!!

I seem to remember you tried your hand at course designing in JN6 (Club Med Resort, Lapwing Ridge, Teignton, and Swan Lake Golf Club) - have you considered having a go with the PG designer and perhaps providing us with a 'real' European Tour course? Goodness knows we could certainly use a few of them!

Just a quick note about the courses that appear on both tour schedules.

I am still 'fine-tuning' the courses so there may be alterations between now and Christmas. If you have already selected any 'guest' events because you like the course venue, be aware that the course may be changed.

In view of the above, if you want to 're-select' your 'guest' events this can be done on your 'My Tour' page by clicking on the 'RESET GUEST TOUR SELECTIONS' button.

YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO DO THIS BEFORE THE SEASON BEGINS ON 3rd JANUARY 2020.

Once the season starts your event selection will be 'set in stone' and will not be changed.

When the course selection process has been finalised I will make a post here...

Yes, great stuff Mark, however I too have a few questions.

1. Was there a thought to make PGLS Tours a complete handicapped event? With no cut it may have condensed the scoring, making it nice and tight.
2. I have been testing and trialling realistic putting. This also levels out scoring, really good fun once you get use to it.
3. Probably not this year but a set of stats just for PGLS Tours would be something else, don't know how difficult this would be to set up.

Just giving you some ideas, love the courses that have been allocated and totally appreciate what you do here.
