the same happens in single player tourneys not all hazards have post screen pop up
when they don't you have to leave the game and come back to resume which gives you then a penalty stroke
for leaving the round, I think you already have the best system set up for this due to it being a game or designer issue.
I am not sure if the designers skip putting in some drop zones hence no pop-up window. or if maybe the game is not recognizing the drop zones
that have been put in, only a guess maybe a designer could chime in here.
I don't think this is a designer issue, I think it is a perfect parallel bug. I've seen it happen if properly marked hazards and then also not happen in the same spot. Also, I've noticed that it happens to some people more than others.

I got hit with the 90 degree swing bug today during divisions. I've logged alot of hours in this game and never experienced that bug until the last couple weeks and now I've seen it twice. it just seems like the wacky stuff is happening more and more...

To John's scramble question.......LOOK AFTER YOUR BALL........both players.........yes it is fun sometimes to go for the crazy shot(i done this many times, ask Perc) but knowing what we all know this games broke in so many unfixable places....why risk it?.......and if you still go for it, except the consequences.....

Just my opinion
We had 2 penalty strokes from one Tee shot this week in round 4 pairs. We didn't submit for a correction, but after thinking about it, I intend to in future tournaments.

If you have ever played scramble torunies in real golf you probably enjoyed the fact that difference in fun factor (relative to solo tournies) is mostly related to the dynamic of having your partner hit a safe shot so that you can go right at the pin or what other "un-safe" shot you want to hit. For example, it allows you play that big fade into a hard wind in an effort to make the ball land a little softer. The whole point of of the scramble format is to utilize that strategy effectively to increase your chances of getting a bird of better. No disrespect Nib, but based on your comments its OK to do that, but only if there isn't water involved in the shot because PG has a bug.

Taking away that aspect of a greensome or scramble match just because the game has a bug is not the solution I choose. Not when it happens once a tournament or twice at best. If it happened many times in a scramble/greensome tourney, then I might have a different perspective, but that is partly due to the work it creates for Mark.

Post proof that it happened and get the penalty removed.

I am OK with living with it in for non-scramble and non-greensome matches though. Thats a totally different situation.

Just my opinion :drinks:

Easy solution ... stop using greensome and scramble.

yea me and my partner had a penalty stroke yesterday on the regular
pair up and instead of going through all the explanation and making a video
we just ate it. one of those where there was no drop from a ball hit in the water.

If you don't like it don't play in it. Many of us enjoy the greensome and scrambles.
